if you can't help it, then try to use it to your advantage. some people find southern accents charming. if she asks your strengths mention that your personality & diction helps create a comfortable environment, and this has helped you build trusting relationships with co-workers & customers (if the job involves customers.) if you are in the south, then she might look pass your accent

practice how your gonna greet them, make sure it sounds formal. i fukked that up once on one of those, and they told me i did

Like people said practice with someone, and if you can avoid the slang, the accent alone shouldn't be a deal breaker
