- Young Berg's parents are millionaires. Father owns Real Estate, mother owns Child care centers
- They asked why did he go into the life he went into of drugs and crime

- "MUSIC MADE ME WANT TO GO SELL CRACK!!! AND I WAS SO INFLUENCED BY IT!!!"
- "It made the culture be like if you wasn't selling drugs you weren't about nothing"
- "When you hear all these lyrics glorifying it, it kind of poisons you"
- "Ya'll can't tell me when Young Jeezy in his heyday dropped his albums, every dude wanted to sell drugs to be like him"

Outlier. The vast majority of people who consume crime related media aren't inspired to commit said crimes.

Also for the people that believe otherwise...why is it a one way road?

Why isn't positive media inspiring people to be better people? Arguably the most respected mainstream rapper is Kendrick Lamar. Where's the Black on Black slam poetry epidemic?

Positive black media isn't trendy. And white people can't jam to it overall..

We used to cop packs and grind to get school clothes and shoes. Just to have some bread in your pocket when we were young and broke. It always was funny to me when kids from the army base and suburbs used to try to come to the projects and kick it with us and sell work. In my mind I knew why we was doing it but it always baffled me how kids who didn’t need for shyt wanted to risk their freedom and they weren’t broke like us.

But it does tho :dahell:positive media inspires people every day. I've learned stuff and went on to research and enrich myself off of the strength of videos brehs here have posted in higher learning etc

you can hear testimonies of people that got into music because of a song/performance etc.

EarnYourLeisure podcast didn't blow up for nothing - and they have a majority black following

Michael Jackson wasn't the most recognizable face on the planet because he was singing about shooting brehs

Yea, I watched this portion of the interview last week and immediately thought of @Matt504 :mjlol:. Thing is, Berg has always been (and will continue to be) an insufferable try-hard. I'm detecting @Jcotton1 levels of :duck: everytime he opens his mouth so I'm not sure his "ghetto testimony" is the most reliable. Hell, I'm not even convinced he's the one producing all these hitmaka beats.

Ok. But I'm asking why was "Black on Black crime" (eugh) just as bad as when MJ was alive and the most famous person in the world?

If drill music is powerful enough to make Black men want to kill one another in droves then logically shouldn't MJs music have even more influence? Since MJ was several orders of magnitude more famous and respected amongst Black people than literally any street rapper?
