i realized why i don't like most rap music outside of the mid 90s
the reason being is that back in the mid 90s i was one of the small amount of white hiphop heads around on the southside of chicago. Everyone wasn't listening to hiphop. I was even into the deeper hiphop alot of listeners in my teens didn't know about. Especially the white heads. Also at that time hiphop was more of a rebel type of music that went against the grain. Some social misfit shyt to an extent.
After 2000, all the suburban lames of all races were into it and now all the wholesome girls are listening to it.
that's why it's corny to me
it's the cool thing to do
soccer moms listen to it
and it's too commercialized and safe
