Why?

"In November 2014, ABC 13 Eyewitness News did an investigation into the number of dog bites in the City of Houston from January 1, 2014 to September 24, 2014. Of the 1540 total reported bites during this period, pit bulls led with 518, double the number of the next topmost biting breed, German shepherds.

Pitbulls as a breed have very aggressive temperaments that can lead to this sort of shyt if you don't train it, curb that shyt or socialize it. ''But Nawww, shawty. My dog Bad! Big Dog! ROOOF ROOF ROOF ROOF!, Try n jump yo ass in my yard, finna get EAATEN UP, PLAYA!'' type cats breed and buy these things and just leave 'em tied up (Mistreat 'em too) and then they break the chain and bite kids and people on some shyt they, themselves couldn't control.

I've seen a few well trained pitbulls that would regard your ass and leave you be as long as you weren't being erratic towards the owner or anyone else in the family but that's normally never the case. Not every person buying a pitbull is lookin' to Michael Vick 'em on some Dog fighting shyt, but it's far too often that the people that have pitbulls who attack other folk and dogs never gave them the proper love and training they need.

It's like having a St Bernard or Great Dane and you 5 feet no inches and never trained it to behave around people and not dominate you by jumping on your shoulders cause that's what they do. Or having a Malamute or Siberian Husky and you :flabbynsick: and it takes it's ass off the minute it gets an opening 'cause it's a rambunctious breed that needs to run around and do high energy shyt.

Socialize your dog, brehs.:to:
Especially if you got that shyt as a status symbol, cause there are FAR better choices for guard dogs.
Ain't had nobody thinking about casting no fukkin' Pitbul in the role of Cujo.:mjpls:

Pitbulls are inherently violent! There is nothing you can do to domesticate those vicious beast.....Story after story about violent dog attacks always, always revolve around pitbulls..... its past the point of coincidence...

I hear violent story after violent story in "the hood" of <insert city>, but that doesn't mean the people committing the crimes are inherently violent. They are raised in violent atmospheres and adapt to that. Same thing with pits. Pitbulls who are raised violent will be violent, point blank. Smaller dogs are more worse but their damage isn't as serious.

Them being violent is a genetic trait; you can suppress it but it is still there and can be activated at anytime........

Honestly, why in the world would you want to own a pitbull when you can have a labrador retriever?

My brother and sister both have pit bulls. I love my sister's dog Camille. She is the friendliest dog. I believe that it's the owner and not the breed of dog. Any breed of dog can be violent if made to do so. If you go look up pitbulls they are called the nanny dog...

Pitbulls are bred to be animal aggressive, not human aggressive, because they were intended to be game dogs, not human stoppers. Dogs like German Shepherds are bred to be human aggressive. The only reason a Pitbull would ever be human aggressive is if the owner conditioned them that way.

Pitbull bites are more publicized and reported because of sensationalism.

Re-read your neg and let that sink in fakkit :umad:

Same could be said of Black people towards Crime and Violence from people that just wrote 'em off as all being bad, right?:francis: Different factors create different people. Same with pets, especially dogs. It goes back to Temperament. While a Golden Retriever would be quicker to befriend everyone because of their nature, a pitbul, which I WILL admit is a more aggressive breed if left untrained can run off and do shyt like that. It makes Pitbuls look bad as a breed but a lot of this shyt lands on the owner as well. It's their RESPONSIBILITY to make sure said dogs are either cordoned off from the public and restrained within private premises.

:wtb: Do you have any dogs? Are you a dog person? You don't think if YOU had a pitbul puppy, that with enough patience and love you could turn him into a high powered little rascal that grew into a treasured member of the family as opposed to some status symbol chained in the backyard, starved, beaten and encouraged to be aggressive for money/respect?:scust:

I'm not going to sugar coat shyt and say that EVERY story features a bad owner since these dogs do show a trait of attacking and mauling people/kids/dogs if they aren't properly trained, but you CAN train them, but don't nobody want to go and peep knowledge on any domesticated pitbul or any other aggressive breeds, living good; they only want to see the bad and go :dwillhuh: 'Dem dogs bad. Kill 'em all'. when stories like that pop up again and again, mainly due to the NEGLIGENT owners and a few unfortunate cases.

A pitbull ain't an easy thing to have and they got a bad rep over the years thanks to idiots who breed and buy 'em strictly for fighting and being tough but I could bang on on this keyboard and you'll prolly never change your stance on that so I won't. Think what you want, it's a free country.:manny:

Sure... even when the facts show that the "bites" overwhelmingly come from a "certain" breed of dog.....

1. Respond to whole posts, not partial ones. It's obvious you're avoiding parts that blow up your argument.

2. That's "reported" bites. Pitbulls are an extremely popular breed and they're usually big dogs so they have damaging bites. Small dogs bite far more but they don't do as much damage, so it's not reported.

3. "Pitbull" isn't even a real, singular, breed. The American Pitbull Terrier, Stafordshire Terrier, and a couple other bully breeds are usually all thrown into the "pitbull" label and the "bully breed" label, so really you're reporting on bites for 4 or 5 different breeds as one entity. Of course there will be more.

Stop worried about pitbulls and start worrying about normal human social interaction :mjlol:

Not really.
I made a comparision between Pitbulls and black people in terms of how both would get a bad rap because of slanted views based off of onesided evidence via these stories and such. There are always factors deeper than just ''X'' did this because all ''X's'' are bad and are predisposed to doing that shyt. I was debating whether I should leave that in, but I decide to keep it to hopefully strengthen the point I was trying to make. :jbhmm:
