I said it during Raw but get ya money AJ. Russo had a good point on the Wrestling Inc podcast last night. Why did they wait until now to turn him? Not during the championship match, and not during the qualifier last week. It's the typical fight for respect

Russo also said how ass backward they have booked AJ having him lose to Jericho at mania then back to back to Roman then straight up clean to Owens the Raw before Cena returns. That if there plan all along was to do AJ and Cena then make him look strong. Book him to lose every fued then expect fans to care that he is going at Cena.

And I still don't know why you guys are so against this AJ heel turn. Ever since he aligned with the Bullet Club he's come off as sneaky and slightly disingenuous but since he's AJ Styles everybody trusted him. He knows what Gallows and Anderson are about. He's done business with them before. The story of him trying to fight off his bloodlust and continue doing things the right way only to succumb to the temptation to do harm is a great story. Him continuously running back to pummel Cena was brilliant. The first time he left the ring I saw that hesitation in his eyes. Like, is it the right thing to do. But every time he ran back you could see him become more and more vicious. And this was without the urging of Gallows and Anderson. That's a great story to me.

So what would Roman's heel turn story be? Well, people are booing him, let's turn him and have him do generic heel stuff that doesn't get anyone else much heat. You all have to kill that "Roman is a natural heel" bullshyt. What did he do in the Shield as a heel? Hot tags. Say a few words after Ambrose did most of the talking and mugging for the camera? Before he was being booed out of the arena and he was becoming the breakout star of the Shield no one said he was a natural heel. The crowd liked Reigns at that point. So they're not booing him because he's naturally unlikable like say, the Miz. They are booing him because they don't like where he's at and how he's being portrayed. If you turn him heel he's going to have to earn those boos. He has poor mic skills, slightly below average charisma, and no character. So what's he going to do as a heel to earn those boos? He's just going to lose his heat. Much like Edge when they were forced to turn him in 2004. He was getting booed as a face so they turned him into a generic, screaming heel and no one gave a fukk. Then Matt Hardy cried on the internet and that turn was saved. Reigns doesn't have a Matt Hardy situation to exploit.

Roman doesn't have to do much as a tweener right now. Come out to massive boos, hold up the title, smirk unconvincingly, say his catchphrase, look strong against whomever and put on good PPV matches. You really don't want to waste that on a heel turn. Not until he's ready and right now he's just not ready. If it must come just let it be slow and natural where he goes from feuding with heels and faces to just faces without one "moment" where he just turns.

If he had a real heel turn he'd get that CDQ treatment Orton got back in 2013. I think everyone is in their proper role at the moment.

Nah. If Roman was a real heel people would cheer him. When he was a bad-ass heel in the Shield he got cheers....when he became corny and fan friendly ppl boo'd.

That said, I have warmed up a bit to him just being a tweener the way he is
