Might make things worse.
There's a balance of chemicals in your body, push it too much one way and you may have undesired consequences.

Example. Anabolic steroids. It pushes your testosterone levels up. Men have a small amount of estrogen to balance it. Since testosterone levels are going through the roof, your body starts creating more estrogen to balance things out. You could get nipples as a negative side affect. It's called gynecomastia. I stay away from steroids and just lift to stay in shape.

SSRIs will numb emotions and leave you feeling disconnected / detached but not necessarily happier. Maybe bupropion could give a sense of euphoria but a normal person would likely get anxiety and jitters also.
