I have no issue with content creators, reviewers, and even reaction videos… But do they all have to make them dumb ass faces in their thumbnails?

I completely understand it working when it was young. But these days 100% of them do it so it seems it would be less effective.

Even when it was young, it was pretty much everywhere too. It's just a proven strategy of grabbing attention, but the way everyone follows the Mr beast formula now - you have to start strong so bc retention is key metric.
So you're right in that it may not be ass effective outside of just getting initial clicks, which it still does weirdly

So basically l, I feel it’s like this. A LOT of these peoples fanbase are kids… children. I would say majority of the people who watch these kind of YouTubers aren’t even teenagers.
But it’s just packaging shyt towards them. Like when females create thumbnails with they asscheeks in them to get attention from thirst men.
Or a Coli nikka putting pawg or some other clickbait type shyt when creating a thread. In fact, op does it all the time
I think I saw this DDG dude explain it in a video a long time ago. Kinda why I probably watched his stuff because he spit a lot of youtube game and would even troll with it. Like he would do clickbait and over-exaggerated thumbnails.
There’s another clown who does it a lot with zero shame. All I remember is that he called himself Aqua-nikka or something
