I have signed up for comm. college. Is Electrical Engineering job safe from A.I. and easy to get hired?

AI is going to affect all industries, however, that doesn't mean the jobs will be completely overtaken.

I'd look at it like this (as a former engineer and a dude who has EE and ME friends). The mundane and repetitive tasks will be automated, leaving more room for strategic thought and innovation from humans.

If I were you, I'd just make sure that you stay in the know of what is going on with AI and search for the right place to work after.

Why didn't you go for trade school to be an Electrician?

This is the type of question to not only ask the advisor but the professors of the classes you will be taking.

Ask them now. Their emails are all there and they will be happy to answer your questions and put you into rooms to accomplish your goals.

I don't know how many people here worked in academia beyond myself but most professors salivate, especially at the CC level, at the chance to put someone on.

Community college definitely the way to go if you can’t afford/don’t have the grades for a university

Make sure it’s accredited and the credits can transfer anywhere in state or you’re wasting time & dough

Good job! Do your 1-2 years and then transfer to a 4 year and get your bachelor's.
