I use jam preserves(grape, stawberry or rasberry). I also use a spoon instead of a knife.

Jam first on seperate bread. Its easier to clean jam(or jelly) out of pb jar.
I like my stuff clean, no bread crumbs or mixing of jam in my pb or vice versa.

it took me many years to figure out if you put the jelly on first then you can just wipe the knife and reuse it for the peanut butter, i wasted so many knives back in the day :fukkme:

I don't eat pb&j sandwiches and never really did but I was gonna say to try putting the jelly first too. But wait, what if you just wash the knife under the faucet so you can clean it up a bit between condiments? Wash off the jelly and move to pb.
That's too much..

If your jelly is in a glass jar, wrap it in aluminum foil and put in the microwave for 10-15 minutes; gives it an easy to spread consistency.
You're not supposed to keep warming and cooling things, bacteria can grow. You're supposed to only warm what you will be using.

Too much work. If you put the jelly on first you can basically wipe the knife on the clean slice of bread and the jelly will come right off
I do the pb first & wipe it clean using the clean slice. The jelly is usually leaves the spoon sticky with stuff on it.

I use jam preserves(grape, stawberry or rasberry). I also use a spoon instead of a knife.

I use a spoon too. I use the back of the spoon in the pb, wipe the extra on the clean bread. Then use the front side of the spoon to scoop the jelly and the back side to spread it.

And my pb&j sandwich has to be cut into triangles. I cut lunchmeat sandwiches in squares. It has to be cut for me to eat it.
