Problem with New Jack RnB was it was so formulaic. That Boy George song sounds like 75% of the RnB tracks Riley made in the new jack era. Riley had a strict formula that he drove into the ground....he got much better with age tho.

eh, you cant group a whole sub-genre under what one producer was doing.

and yea, you can prolly say that 75% of riley's r&b uptempos sounded similar, but you can say that for most over-worked producers period.
