Then after you pay the $110 ticket (they usually add money for court costs), go and download the WAZE app. You'll never get another ticket again

Even if you did hire a lawyer, with that little ticket you would spend more than you would save by paying it.
But by going to court you will probably get a lower fine and no points on your license.

What state are you in?

Always fight it. There's always a chance that the cop doesn't appear and it's automatically dismissed. In my experiences, fighting it (with a good driving record) will lower it from a moving violation to a parking ticket. Less money and won't go against your insurance. Plus it buys you some time to come up with the cash if you end up having to pay in full.
