Your post reminds me of a couple months ago where I got the head nod from a Black WOMAN :wtf: I was so confused :dwillhuh: We was walking in opposite directions and waited till she got close up to briefly glance at her to see if she was attractive and she hit me with the head hod.... I gave her one back but in my mind I was like

Anyway, I don't give the first head nod, I'd only do it if another Black Man does it first. I'm from a place where you see so many Black Men out in public that giving every breh you see a head nod isn't realistic. But from time to time I got an head nod from another Black Man and I gave them one back.

Why does it alarm you? I've gotten the downward head nod from an older Black Man with this Black family recently, I gave him an downward head nod in return.

I know what OP is talking about; I've come across this a few times myself.

Been noticin' this lately, chalked it up to acculturation and KIM.
Gradually, our people becomin' brainwashed and disconnected from the roots,
yet will speak of the culture like they part of it.
