I just hit a deer and there's damage, what do I do?

It's 130 am my way, a deer popped out of nowhere literally right outside my complex. It like like a pack of 4 deer at once, I missed 3 of them and caught one.

Do I call the police and report it immediately? I just pulled into my apartment, I'm sober, haven't had a drink or anything. But did have somethings in my car I didn't want to be questioned about. Do I need to go back and call the police, or just file an insurance claim first thing in the morn?
