It's crazy because I respect science..I'm all for challenging religion, but why all the vitriol I'm not some bible thumper who leave my children to die because I think God will heal my child. We were born with all our faculties and abilities for a reason.

I know there's a God....because I know there's a I've felt both before. Sometimes I think that we got it all wrong though. Sometimes I think what if God isn't the "God" we imagine him to be but, is instead a team of scientists on a project and the universe is a massive computer hologram they programmed. What if Heaven and Hell was a programmed simulation as well You know how when you play a video game and you try to go outside the boundaries of the game (i.e. swimming too far in Grand Theft Auto for example) but, it won't let you. Its because the programmers didnt code that into the video game. The universe is a bit like that to me. It stretches on and on and on, and supposedly its always expanding. But it has to be something outside of it, right That thought always takes me back to the video game and not being able to go past a certain point

This is somewhat what string theory is about. The whole wave/particle nature of light..

I honestly think you can't really have a discussion about God in this forum without athiests chiming in, which is fine, but it derails the discussion (not talking about this thread tho bc it was bait). Attitude plays a huge part in civil discussion.. in life period..it will literally get you everywhere.

exactly breh we don't even have all the facts... and what if some of the facts are something that will never be observable to man period? These same non observable facts which are out of reach to us can have a profound impact on why we are here... yet we'll dismiss it because we can never be privy to this information.

Some atheists are great debaters and bring in valid points, so I respect them and we have great convo...there are alot of them that act just like Napoleon because they don't have the ability to think or assess...but Napoleon doesn't know how to debate, has no analytical skills and uses condescending insults instead of actual evidence to hide his lack of intellectual processes...its really sad that he gives atheists a bad name, which is hard to do
