I just realized that most of the popular artists right now are kind of old.

When I was a kid listening to Nas, Wu, Pac, and 'em it didn't appear to me these gawds were all young :mindblown:

Just take a second and wrap your mind around, Nas made Illmatic at 18, and Pac and Big died before the age of 25 :ohlawd:

Meanwhile, Hov was like 30 already :pachaha:

This is one of the main reasons JayZ gettin' all this backlash here in the coli...

These old nikkaz don't wanna let go and admit there time been up... I'd also blame the record labels. No wonder mainstream rap all sound the same no matter where you from... nikkaz been in the game so much they've separated themselves from the real world and cant come up with new shyt....

You think Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Run Dmc etc said "well im 30. time to hang up the mic :beli:. Naw they kept putting out albums trying to get hits until they got dropped from their label because they looked silly and outdated. Now Jay and Nas can rap until their 40s because they still have ppl that buy their shyt and more importantly these young nikkas aint takin no crowns! There is no sweeping movement like Biggie or Dmx to make these old nikkas seem outdated and irrelevant. Drake and Kendrick are talented as fukk but they both 26, and in their primes. The only truly young nikkas are Chief Keef and Mac Miller :pacspit:

It's like cats forgot those young dudes back in the day, were the first youths to grow up on hip hop.

people bringing up how Nas was 17, Snoop was 19 and Rakim couldn't even buy beer... yet forget that there wasn't really anybody before them....and that they paved the way.

wasn't no old nikkas like Busta sill grabbing for any ounce of relevancy and bullying their way onto tracks with young dudes to stay in the public eye.

Thank you, I was scared no one was going to be smart enough to see that shyt.

Run DMC didn't try to make a comeback with albums like Down With The King and Back From Hell? They tried to jock the new sounds but it didn't work because the new cats were doing it better and more authentic

it's a sad state of affairs when all these grown ass men who really have the ears of the youth, the rick ross's, the 2 chainz, the lil wayne's, sound no different than the 17 year old nikkas. i seriously don't know any 36 year olds in real life who act and think like 17 year olds, the dudes like that are usually broke bum nikkas who still wear baggy jeans and smoke looseys in front of the store and shyt, ridin Huffys and all that. and the luminaries of this generation, like jay-z and 50 Cent and the rest of these late 30's and early 40's dudes, aint sayin much of anything either. i would love to make it in rap just to air out everybody for being pieces of shyt and leading these black babies to absolutely nowhere, hopefully i'd get rushed at an event or somethin so i can pop one of these c00ns, :ahh:
