I spent 150£ on a Lacoste sweater. Its a dope sweater but in my mind I'm :sadcam: I really like the sweater though, so at least it was worth it.

I feel bad for having spent so much money though. I guess I'm not built for these high end fashion prizes. I don't think I'll spend so much money on a sweater again.

I understand dropping a couple hundred for a nice big jacket or something but for a sweater? Its a lot of money.

Like I coulda got 3 sweaters of a lesser brand for the same money. Oh well, I think it was worth it, I'm just not the type to spend so much money on clothes.

I'm sewing tigers on my shirts and alligators......take Biggies advice, get a sweater from Kmart and practice your needle skills :win:

For sure. I mean I like nice clothes but I'm not the type to spend hundreds on it. I thought I'd treat myself though, since I came into a little money, recently.

You're wasting your money.. There's nothing 'high end' about Lacoste

Its high end to me. I don't even fathom fukking with anything like Gucci, Armani, etc so Lacoste is high end to me. But hey, I'm happy with the sweater at least, just a little too pricey.

I think that initial shock is expected LOL
I started by just buying a few quality pieces here and there and slowly building up my wardrobe like that, but the first time I dropped 100+ on an item of clothing (that wasn't a pair of shoes) I was like :sadcam:
But I'd rather get quality things that last than spending more money in 1-2 years replacing something shytty.

Yeah, I could see myself copping things in that price range in the future, every now and then, on rare occasions, I'm just not used to spending that kind of money on clothes. Maybe on a pair of Jordans or a pair of Timbs.

The most I ever spent on clothes was 250£ for an Avirex jacket, back in '07. I still got it. I never really wear it though...

Lacoste is still dope, I spent that much a few years ago on an Abercrombie & Fitch sweater that I didn't even get a chance to wear, cause I gained weight. :stopitslime:

as I've grown up, it's come to my realization that wanting to buy brand names for the sake of brand names is retarded. If you got the money, then by all means, but once you learn how to dress and can put together a good outfit, then it shouldn't matter if it came from Neiman Marcus or some basic clothing store.

I got a good amount of name brand stuff, but I would never buy a pair of $500 Gucci Shades there's a difference being sensible to wasteful.

Its funny cause a couple of weeks ago I copped a Timberland sweater that I only paid 55£ for. And Timberland is still a pretty good brand. The only thing I don't like about the sweater is you can barely see the logo. If you cop designer wear, you might as well make sure the logo can be seen. That's the whole freaking point of copping designer gear.

That's the truth. I've gotten some of my best stuff from consignment shops or Goodwill. I live in a fairly well-to-do area, and the things some of these people just give away or donate blows my mind, but hey, I've benefitted from it so I can't complain. Why pay full price for something when I can get it severely discounted?

exactly.

this would be me when it comes to footwear, I don't mind spending money on my kicks. just a few days ago, I was on a website looking at these Versace sneakers for $1300.00 and I wanted them bytches bad as hell, but I came to my senses before I pulled the trigger. not like I can't afford it, but just spending that much on some kicks would be sticking in the back of my mind forever if I copped em'.

these the ones :noah: https://www.ssense.com/men/product/versace/black-leather-high-top-sneakers/105488

See, I'm the opposite. I HATE stuff with logos with a passion; I like simple, clean designs, and I think logos take away from the aesthetic of the clothing. I don't like my clothes to scream "Oh, she's wearing [insert designer here]"; the quality should speak for itself.
