I frequently come over on the Coli (don't post often, if i do it's in the Film Room. I used to visit SOHH forums a lot too in college) not trying to get the boot for spam but I just began my site, ThirtySecondPitch.com. If you've been working on an idea in your garage, shed, basement or workspace it might be something for you.

It's an entrepreneur site designed around the elevator pitch, all videos are 30 seconds or less to pitch your idea, business, or creation in 30 seconds or less. You can receive feedback, network with other entrepreneurs and share all your videos across all social media platforms. We've also gotten partnerships so you can trademark, patent or copyright your creation. If anyone on here is an entrepreneur with a dope idea this could show you what your idea is like to the world. Mods I apologize in advance if this violates something. Below are the categories

Arts, Music & Entertainment
Automotive & Transportation
Beauty & Cosmetic
Clothing
Computers & Software
Manufacturing
Medical & Medical Equipment
Recreational, Equipment & Tools
Sciences
Toys

I like the idea, although I feel like I've seen it before.

Also, just personal preference, but I hate sites where I have to register to proceed. Maybe I skimmed too quick and missed where to proceed without registration.

Another thing... "Get Started - its free". Should be "it's". And another personal preference issue... feel like "It's Free" should be capitalized.

Keep up the hustle though.

Thanks man, missed that "its vs. it's" that's a pet peeve of mine my programmer did that and I totally missed it. You can login using your FB profile as well. Looking for feedback. Hey it's a grind so gotta have thick skin to make progress.

I'll have to agree about registration, no one has time for that...

I'll also have to agree about grammar, it's extremely important, op.

I will quickly rule out taking people seriously who don't grasp it.

Would you recommend seeing videos without registering then/logging in? I was looking at it from how LinkedIn makes you register in order to proceed to keep it more community than "lurker" based, if you get what I'm saying.

Hope to see your idea on there soon.

Thanks,

Anything is possible.

Keep fighting the fight and don't be like the guy in the other thread in the the subforum about finding a job or whatever.

Some of my businesses are heavily internet based but aren't "creative".

Anything is possible at the end of the day is what I say. I've been able to accomplish things outside of my wildest dreams due to the internet and international reach.

I think you need to open up videos to everyone and your challenge will be to find out how to encourage registration so the user feels it's simple, quick and purposeful.

Just speaking for myself as a person who uses he internet fairly seriously and in a businesses capacity I'm hard pressed to register for things .

Off the top of my head things that I'm willing to register for(that interest me/ it's probably greater than that psychologically) are networking(fb/linkdin/skype) things that get me laid(okc etc), things that are for investments(real estate webites), banking(records), forums but it has to really drive me (the coli ie laughs, :hamster: , laugh again , car forums ie money), and besides that there really isn't anything that I would be willing to sign up for

Another thing that is is important to consider is age! I know a lot of us grew up with computers but people our parents age( @Mowgli ) who may have money and aren't the most computer literate or have the time to or be able to figure out registering need to be considered.

Gotcha, will look to find that happy medium.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I added a little on as well for greater context.

I also should say that older people and foreigners are willing to spend a lot of money and I've made what I consider a lot of money off doing business with them but quite frequently their emails and etc can come across as spam/scam(the aren't very inquisitive). Sometimes it is sometimes it isn't and with meeting and talking to these individuals I've gotten a greater perspective on age and language barriers. I have a fairly niche business carved out for myself but it's something we all need to keep in mind.
