This is kind of sad OP. Have some confidence in yourself. Give yourself a chance, you're giving up before you've even started. You may be great at the job, apparently you have something they see in you. This is also a new position, so there will be room for mistakes and growth.

take the job

Legally, even though majority of positions are already filled internally, HR has to create job postings and hold interviews.

This is used as a liability to prevent lawsuits and penalties as well as stay in line with horribly written anti-discrimination laws that allow massive loopholes like this to exist. And it’s also used for government grants and tax write-offs.

For example, you hear a lot of about how everyone’s hiring and there’s job openings everywhere. Which is mainly due to the pandemic grants and tax write offs afforded to companies. Which requires them to actively look for candidates.

As a result there is even a larger incentive to post fake applications. Trust me, I’ve applied to hundreds. These fake ass corporations are NOT HIRING.

Gotcha. That's not a tax write off for HR.

But does it nullify anything that I’ve said?

How isn’t it a tax write off?

You should know this, especially since you work in corporate yourself. I could sense the passive aggression on you.

It is… A chick that I work with is dumb as a fukking rock and this chick just got promoted to a job within the company paying like 95k a year. I personally feel like the other women in our company should be offended. She has a nice ass and a pretty face but she has horrible grammar and she didn’t perform well in her previous position.

There was a breh on her team that applied for the same job and has been with the company for years with a Master’s… Dude is a rockstar and got passed over for her, he put in his two week notice.

Thecoli and the term “tax writeoff”. Y’all don’t even know what that means. And it doesn’t even make sense in this scenario
Learn to use your brain and understand hyperbole. If you were to sense to understand the context, read my follow up post.

Most people wouldn’t even grasp the corporate loopholes involved in scamming the government for grants and the uselessly overly complicated legal terminology. Used by these same corporations when they create fake job postings and waste time of young minorities who apply to these roles.

But like a typical corporate Uncle Tom, you’re concerned with the semantics versus the actual exploitation going on.

Ummmm...congratulations @DizeeGorilla20 . There is really nothing to complain about here. Internals always get priority because you are less of a risk to the company given your prior track record/consistency. Beyond that you have a much more predictable psychological profile than some random from general population thats embellishing through his interviews.

good luck in your next assignment, breh:salute:

Is this a humble brag thread:lolbron:
