I had a job this summer working at a bakery but more like a factory, sort of like the size of the place in the picture, with bread constantly being shipped out.

I'm willing to help.

Do you want a general resume or are you applying for a specific industry?

I just want to explain, in general, what I did there but I did so many different jobs that I don't really know how to explain the job. I'm also not really good at just making up some bullshyt like most people do on resumes :yeshrug:

Well you want to put some accomplishments and tie them to your skills list.

Say you have something like

Relevant skills
--Leadership abilities
--Detail orientated
--Goal driven.

on your experience portion you would have. Don't put the bold parts.

Pandera Bakery (2001-2012): Led bake team on overnight preparations for catering (leadership), Compiled customer orders in an efficient and accurate manner (detail orientated), Help store supervision meet labor budget by reducing hours necessary for bakery floor tasks (goal driven)

whatever job your going for match the jobs you been doin to what is listed for the job you want...

so if the job you want says "responsible for delegating responsibilities to team members"

you say "Resposible for delegating tasks to group of facilities team members to ensure quality products"

something to that effect.....so match what you been doing to what you are suppose to be doing...if you do not have a job in mind make it so your a leader or important like...

just say something along the lines that you worked at a large/major food processing facility

you oversaw blah blah

respsible for bla bla

managed such and such task

delegated bla bla task to

lead a team of such and such

okay I'll explain the jobs I was doing, it might give all of you a better idea.

One of the jobs I did was an operator job and I was responsible for the machine and making sure everything was working in order. Another job I did was loading and unloading trailers, basic shipping job. Another job I packaged bread for Costo. There was one where I had to take products off of a conveyor belt and put them into baskets, then stack the baskets as the products were coming at you. That job was :whew:. When I drive by there now that I don't work there anymore I'm like :lawd: but they'll call me back for summer so I want to have another job then because I'm not trying to fukk with that place anymore.

I like how these are kind of in point form. I just need about three of these but to be more relevant to the work that I did.

You should be tailoring your resume to be directed towards whatever job you are applying for. Don't bother including information that isn't relevant. So if packaging bread isn't relevant to the job you're looking at, don't include it.

A resume is a sales tool and a job interview is a sale. You have to decide how you want to sell yourself. I think the biggest choice when you're getting started is do you try to puff up your work experience/education or try to display work ethic/willingness to learn. Go with an approach where you feel most comfortable, but I will say if your interviewing with HR you probably want to puff things up a bit and if you're interviewing with a manager you probably want to focus on your work ethic/willingness to learn.

So change your resume for each job you apply to. From what you described the operator job sounds the most useful. I can't really go any further without knowing the job you are applying for.

:why:

I agree with you though, the operator job probably is the most useful, I'm going to go from there :salute:

I'm being serious. You can't just be passing off one generic resume to every job you apply to. If the skills you talk about on the resume aren't relevant, they aren't going to give a fukk about that job. Its a little more work but its worth it.
