The blades are expensive but each one lasts a month. Shaving technique depends on your hair texture, ie I have soft hairs so I shave against the grain but best bet is to go with the grain for coarser hair, it won't get as close but it will save you stubbles. Wash face with hot water to loosen skin which makes shaving easier and also remember to rinse the blade with hot water every 2 or 3 strokes. Apply non-alcoholic after shave, alcohol dries your skin... Repeat every 3 days.

I heard/used cold razors. When as far as storing them in the freezer. Used cold water to rinse them during use. Warm wet head with cold razors.

Used baby oil w/ aloe instead of saving creme. I also used a straight razor (takes prctice). Oil and hair gets messy but. It does it job .
I never had anybody show me either....i just went to the store got a razor and some shaving cream and went to work. The first time my face looked like the hash slinging slasher had gotten a hold of it. But then you live and learn and eventually I got nice with it.

I hate shaving, I use and electric razor to shave twice a week, there are times when I go 2 weeks without shaving and I look like a neanderthal. I'd really like to line my own beard up but I can't when I use an electric razor.
When I use razors I get bumps regardless of the quality of the blade, shaving cream or aftershave I try.
