Released on flash disks?

wouldn't they play/load faster?

surely with the cost of flashmedia now it can't be much more expensive to drop a 8gb game on a card than it would be on a disc

like I said, I may be off on this, and maybe for some reason flash can't handle it but has anyone seen any reason for this NOT to happen?

discs don't cost a thing these days and yes they would load MUCH faster if sold on flash drives.

It will never happen, it will be from disc to digital...nothing else.

Gang violence...
they are probably getting DVDs in bulk at sub $1 prices. they would be crazy to give up that kind of profit per unit.

and sony needs to promote blu ray, so it's only helping them to make their systems be a part of their format marketing strategy

u know how many cd's u can get for that price wholesale?...

they wouldbn't be absorbing the cost just add it on to the sale price.

I'm saying though, I personally would pay an extra 2$ for faster load times less waiting.

As soon as they go totally digitally is the when we'll stop being owners of the games we buy :smh:.
You guys continue to blow these things out of proportion. The prices will be so low that you would not worry about if you can resell the game. I think I have posted this in here before...The average price of a PC game I have paid for in the past 4 years has been around $7. Am I saying that the average price of the games will be that low on the consoles? Probably not, but going totally digital reduces the costs to get the game out. Plus it will allow for publishers to feel more comfortable at dropping prices faster. Its the ultimate way for publishers to know what they can get away with. You really think EA will be in a position to take this hard stance like...yeah we are selling Dead Space 3 for $60 and keeping it at that price for 2+ years? :comeon:

In fact, I just bought DmC: Devil May Cry and Omerta for $30...COMBINED and those games JUST came out. I got Mark of the Ninja for $4

I was thinking this is something they could do for 'digital downloads' for those without internet, d/l limits, or whatever. you could have some redbox like machine, where you can plug in your flash-drive and buy games, get updates, etc

I'm sorry, I don't believe it. This industry'll try to make up for all lost in the piracy and used game age.

They'll have no reason to lower prices when the only option will be; get a used game from an older generation buy DD. I feel like all digital gives too much power to the distributor. I don't want to sound all Republican, but; what's stoppin' them from controlling when and where I can play? Example; I go on a road trip and play, they think I'm lending it and cut my service.

Yeah, them Steam prices are cool, but; digital ain't the norm, ppl still like physical and console heads aren't buyin' (for consoles).

I don't see that stayin' when 100% of games are disturbed digitally.
