Good for you OP. Seems your time is done when a PIP comes around as it always starts that way.
Flex your options and just save for the next 3 months as a PIP is what? 30 days for improvement?
When you have to walk into your bosses office to ask him what the protocol is for putting in your 2 weeks just embrace theon his face when you have an entire 2 weeks to do nothing while you have just signed for a new job.
He hasn't put me under a PIP YET but he threatened as a "warning" before he puts me on one. Then it's extremely thin ice.
I think a PIP means different things in different companies but I think it's bullshyt on his part to do that when I just came in for a senior position which I was vetted for before even accepting the offer.
But even if I avoid it, who knows whether or not he will try it again a few weeks or a few months later? I have to get away from him. It's bad for my career.
And this is an at will state. I may just give him a day or two notice given all of this.
