Ok I contract to a powerful law firm in Detroit. I work directly for the IT managers company while he is a direct employee of over 10 years. Firm is probably 85 percent black/70 percent women. From the stories it's a known fact that he basically fukked his way to his position. Dude controls ALL aspects of IT for the company with an iron fist and the staff is just The Manager/Company owner, myself as a Senior Network Admin and a Junior Admin. On December 17 our network crashed due to him performing multiple file transferred and it crashed 2 of our drive arrays. We then found out he had no proper backups
Our company shut down for the holiday season the next day until Jan 2. Obviously our IT team had to work. During this time our Manager realized that he did not have local admin passwords for all the systems because he had FIRED everyone who installed them
I was able to call in one of my partners with some software that enabled us to get into the local machines and perform all aspects on it while the manager recreated Directory services. He jacked it all up and we are now a month later and folks are still unable to access their files, multiple applications are still not working, remote access is down, etc...and dude REFUSES to speak to the multiple divisional Managers
and he keeps piling on extra responsibilities to me and my co-worker. I have been in IT for 20 years and I have never seen some shyt like this. When I was federal contracting they would have BEEN walked this dude out the building.
