Damn near forgot about the strength of those soundtracks. As a kid/teenager growing up in Africa and Europe, funny thing is that most times I would only see the movies years after listening to the soundtrack (if ever, I've still never seen Sunset Park or The Show for example smh). I haven't listened to a full soundrack in ages.

I'll just add that using Something in the Way for The Batman was a great choice.

I forgot about this

I actually liked a lot of the songs on this soundtrack.


But I agree with the op and the entire thread. Blockbuster movies used to have blockbuster soundtracks that accompanied it. Even the Disney/Children's movies had it, sung by real artists.

Everything now is just stale and weird… just recently too
