Want something nice, durable, with a great processing speed. Thinking about a sony vaio. I've wanted one for a while and compared to the price of my macbook, its cheap

Na but in all honesty breh you'd do a lot worse than getting a Samsung or any sort of Vaio. Build quality is great and specs usually aren't half bad

if you're willing to wait, i'd check out the Samsung Ativ Q or Samsung Ativ Book Pro 9...they're supposed to come out in ~ a month. that vaio's build is a little...flexy even though it has a carbon fiber body. reviewers are saying that the keyboard bends when you type, and that the lid itself can twist. That may have some advantages when it comes to durability, but im in the camp of having a premium feel if im going to pay $1300+ for a laptop. reviews are saying that it runs hot and the fan is loud as fukk as well.

both the samsung's will come w/ aluminum bodies and the Pro 9 will have battery life that approaches the MacBook Air's. That Vaio only gets 6 and a half. if you wait even longer (october), you might be interested in the zenbook infinity as well. shyt might cost you $2000+ though. the yoga series from lenovo should have a refresh sometime soon here as well. all decent options.
