When’s the last time a wrestler was over as a babyface their entire career? It’s been ages. Regardless of what bullshyt WWE wants to tell us to fit whatever they want the narrative to be, NXT is still developmental at the end of the day. It’s better for him to learn how to work as a heel in the ring and on the mic while in developmental than have to learn it on the main roster.

Yes he was, He was wrestling Ilja and the other top guys in NXT and matching/exceeding them reaction wise which is the whole reason they had to turn him in the first place.
