What’s good brehs? I just moved here and looking for a place to record. I googled a few but I’m not paying 1500 an hour.

Where part of town you at breh? I live like a block away from SAE and all you would have to do is hang out out there and connect with the students. You’ll find engineers, producers, artist, etc... They just music students trying to work and a lot of them are very talented

I’m not familiar with the Stone Mountain area but its plenty of high middle and low end studios in Atlanta. Just by being out and about you will make contacts and link woth the right people. If you an artist, I would suggest going to the open mics and shyt. They be having a lot of independ artist shyt off Edgewood. You will be surprised who you might run into too. If you need producers hit the producer beat battles. Producers always trying to link. Hit Apache cafe open mic one day too. You can make some contacts there. It be a lot of small shows t masquerade and Aisle 5 and shyt and that’s a good way to link with people

If it was me, I would invest in my own stuff, and get some students to "intern" doing engineering/mixing/etc. for me. Unless for whatever reason, you insist on using a pro level studio.

I’ve been thinking about that but the engineer i use kind of has me spoiled. It takes years to be a great engineer and he was amazing. But I may just buy the equipment record it and send it to him. I’m gonna look into everything

Good idea if you already have a good rapport and results.
