I need advice. Do you prefer basic trim or an upgraded trim when buying a car?

I’m in the market for a new car but trying to hold off as long as possible due to the current state of the market. However, I’m trying to decide if I’ll get a basic trim or something more upgraded with leather etc.

I’m looking for certified preowned. My car was totaled but I haven’t had a cardinal in almost 2 years so I’m really hesitant but I can easily afford a $35-$45,000 vehicle.

I want the camera. Blind spot monitor. Power lift gate. Moon roof. Etc.

I want an SUV again.

DEPENDS ON THE PURPOSE. IF YOU RIDING TO THE WHEELS FALL OFF, TRIM IS IRRELEVANT. YOU CAN BUY ALL OF THE UPGRADES SECOND HAND FOR CHEAP.

HEATED SEATS, FOG LIGHTS, AUDIO, AND EVEN DRIVER ASSISTANCE CAN BE ADDED TO LOW TRIM LEVELS. IF YOU'RE HANDY WITH STUFF LIKE FORSCAN, YOU CAN GET A LOT DONE FOR CHEAP.

IF YOU'RE GOING FOR 5 YEAR OLD VEHICLES WITH RESALE IN A FEW YEARS, GO FOR THE BEST TRIM YOU CAN AFFORD. THE BOTTOM OUT AT A HIGHER CURVE AFTER 6-7 YEARS.

Basic Trim.
If I can find a used model with the highest trim, even better.
In grand scheme of things that shyt doesn't matter.
Take the 2k,3k,4k etc. + interest that you would put into the higher trim over the
live of the vehicle and instead invest it into a stock of your choosing.

One will pay you much more over the course of your life than the other.
