The field I'm in isnt really for me.....I just now noticed this after 7 months.

Thing is, my boss paid the agency $5,000 to hire me.

I made a promise from the jump that I wasnt going to quit because my boss is use to people quitting on him.

Sweet guy but hes too demanding, he depends on me to do everything in the office (im the office manager, paralegal/legal secretary, receptionist, and personal assistant :snoop: )

Im basically performing the job that 7 other people should be doing. :dead:

Plus the pay aint even that good.

Thing is, I dont have a lot of money saved up, I dont have another job to fall back on and its a bunch of other personal things Im going thru which is preventing me to quit.

Can I get some guidance and advice?

Hop on Indeed.com and LinkedIn and start applying for positions that interest you. Have your resume and cover letter polished up.

If you're not in debt and manage your finances pretty well, you don't necessarily need a ton of money before you make a move to transition. Try your best to have something lined up before quitting. Or, if it is unbearable, try to get fired to collect unemployment :lolbron: :dead:

Work is never personal strictly business. Also NEVER do more than whats written in your contract unless it benefits you. As soon as you start doing extra shyt you are going to have to keep doing it because pepper expect it. Go in do your 8 hours go home

Why would you quit a job when you said you need the funds?

Look for another job in the meantime and until you have one secured.....stop complaining!

Its people out here with NO jobs...

Also your mentality is exactly why this immigration things is a big deal...black people with low-skill jobs have no work ethic

This had nothing to do with with work ethic 90% of people who get promoted are not even the hardest workers. unless op is still on probabtion she has no reason to slave away, she fukked up by 1. befrieding her boss 2. taking on work which she is does not need to do.

I can help you with your waterbill if you send me titty pics :steviej:

Try to finish out at least a year there, but start planning your getaway. Get your resume and LinkedIn on point and network and apply for new positions.
Breh Im seriously going through some things right now.

Relationships, friends, family etc. never really get to me like the thought of missing out on making money does.

Thing is Im regretting going to school for the field I'm in.

I might just stick it out until the end of the year, stack my money and enroll back into school and take up a different field.

Working in a law firm isnt for me at all.

I dont have low work ethic.

Im a damn good employee.....im past the show and prove stage but my boss doesnt see it.

Im tired of trying to impress someone .

In 4 months I help turn this disaster of a law firm into something that clients can actually trust.

I helped this man's business A LOT!

This is a great starter job but I dont have time for this shyt at all.

Just think of it as a stepping stone. Most first jobs suck...use this gig to get some more bullets on your resume.

The key word is job

You can quit those whenever you like, you dont need help with that
