I'm ready to pull some triggers, but I don't want to kick myself in the ass after I do it. Do I REALLY need to buy a 4k TV right now? If I did, I would trade in my X1 and get a X1S, but is 4k really worth a $1000 right now (TV + whatever is left for the X1S)?

I use VSR on my PC for the virtual 4k on the 1080p screen, but someone on The Coli told me before that native 4k is still much better than VSR, therefore that doesn't help me make a decision. And I see the difference in 1080p resolution and VSR at 4k, but it wouldn't make me spend a stack for a new TV if that's close to what native 4k looks like.

Should I wait for the newer TVs with HDR? Somebody please tell me something because I'm tired of pacing in circles, thinking about this shyt.

Low input lag Sony 4K HDR TV $648 on Amazon
Code:

Heard it's one of the best 4K HDR TVs for gaming under $1000
Sony X800D Review (XBR43X800D, XBR49X800D)

u ain't gotta get it now though especially if you don't even watch movies like that.

It's nice, but not necessary unless you really want to push the limits on a PC.

As far as sets go. Go with LG...They make the best panels IMO.
