Find a camera angle that works for you. For me the action 1 and 2 cameras work better for overall gameplay. IMO, some cameras like sideline and press barely allow you to dribble and the cpu is much harder

Be patient on offense when you have the ball in your hand around the 3 point line you dont have to immediately commit to driving in the lane or passing the ball of top, you can delay your actions. I have caught so many people off gaurd online by simply standing still and letting the other player make some type of move then i make mine, you beat alot of players with simple control movements. All that extra dribble flashy ish will work once in a while but nikkas thats been playing 2k online since like 2k7 understand how the animations work and know when somthing will work or not work.. Thiers so many little things you can learn about 2k but at the end of they day your shotstick shooting, post defense and ability to stop/slow down ball movement are they keys imo to competing online. Learning players hotzones are important too later on but you have to have basic shot stick ability first like making wide open and weakly contested shots all day.
