Memphis as constructed is certainly a playoff team in today's west. Not sure of your point.
treadmill teams can be playoff teams breh

when LeBron went to Miami most of the east teams started rebuilding. GSW have 100% chance to get out the west, now is the time for the middling WC teams to start rebuilding.

Getting dusted in the first and second rounds every year with no hopes of getting a true difference maker in the draft <<<<
Difference maker in terms of doing what? Beating Golden State?

I think they realize that winning a title isn't as easy or realistic as it seems, but blowing it up when every team may wanna do that is pointless (and doing that can take years too.) might as well ride out being a sure fire playoff team for as long as you can before you really have to start over.

LeBron went back to Cleveland and a lot of those teams are still rebuilding. Hardly fool proof.

14 teams in a conference aren't gonna throw in the towel and start over. 7 spots still have to be taken up, even by teams who don't stand a chance to beat the Warriors. You know how many times I heard "don't worry in 3 years San Antonio will be older they'll fall off. Dallas will fall off. We'll definitely take one of those spots?"

To ask everyone else to rebuild is to ask the NBA to be little more than a Yeshiva league.

Philly. Fucc a Eagle. I mean dat.
There are some(many?) owners that prioritize making money over winning championships. Hard to sell tickets to a perpetual 35 win team.
True you got a point but if Memphis fans are as dedicated and for their team as they say they are then they'll understand a few years of shyt ball to get better for the future.

Well no one is beating GSW in the west at least for the next two years so why not call it in, blow it up like ya shoulda done two years ago so you can at least be fresh and competitive near the end of GSW's run?

not advocating everyone to rebuild

teams like LAC, SAS are fine as is. They will challenge GSW

teams like POR, PHX and MIN are fine as is. They going in the right direction. LAL will be good next FA.

teams like DAL and MEM are fooling themselves...get my drift ?

Easy.

Because you're letting another team dictate your timeline. That and there's damn sure no guarantee you're gonna be the next team in line to take over once the Warriors fall off.

People got jobs to keep.

Oh I get that there's teams that are just taking up space in the playoffs (Dallas and Memphis being two of them) but it depends on your expectations. Dallas expects to contend for titles. I'm not sure Memphis places that burden of expectation on themselves.

The problem is they'll understand that the team is gonna be bad, but they won't show up to the games. There are very few teams that draw no matter what. It's the reason the Knicks have been an abortion since Dolan took over managing them in 1999. If the building's packed if you win 20 games or 50, who cares?

rebuilding isn't a guarantee of anything. and memphis has one of the worst drafting front offices in the league (and one of the worst GM's period). fukk around and wind up like the 2006-2016 sacramento kings. :scust:

277-527 record over a 10 yr span :beli:

when healthy, they're a pretty safe bet for homecourt in the first round. might as well ride it out and see where the chips fall :manny:
