I just rebooted my computer. I got all my songs back on Itunes, but the old playlists, the albums how they were actually recently added,, my top 25 most played, etc is all back at stage one.

It's like I downloaded 8000 songs at once.

Now my Ipod is up to date. The top 25 most played, recently added, etc are up to date.

Is there a way I can transfer my Ipod's state back to Itunes (as if nothing ever happened)?

Hope that's not confusing

You reinstalled Windows, right? I found an article that lists a bunch of programs that may be able to transfer the data from your iPod to your computer:
Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or i... | Apple Support Communities
The programs are at the bottom. Not all of them are free.

I had to deal with saving all my iTunes data when I installed a new version of windows on my PC a few years ago. You can actually save the iTunes files onto an external hard drive or flash drive before going through the new install, and then you can copy your old iTunes data into your new iTunes folder and have everything restored like it was. It doesn't help much now, but it's something to keep in mind if you have to do this again.

So the top 25 playlist on my ipod when i transfer it over to the new itunes will exist? Same with my most recently added, recently played, etc?

I dled so many and the best one is ipod2pc, but it skips over many songs when it's copying.

Which program do you suggest?

I have no experience with any of these programs, but based off the list on that site, the one titled "Ipod Access" sounds like it would do everything you are looking for. It costs money, though, and it only mentions support for Windows XP, Vista and 7, so it may not work on your system.
