I've been around since the first PlayStation/Xbox console wars. Before all the gamerscore. Back when this spot was The Rec Room. I've built up a decent amount of credibility, and I'm gonna cash it in for a good cause. I need support.

On February 28th - I, Joshua Beld, will jump into the Ohio River in the freezing cold, to participate in the 2015 Polar Plunge, an event which raises money for Special Olympics Kentucky.

I've worked in exceptional child education for the last year, and it has been amazing. I've seen the excitement first hand that these children have for these gatherings, and it gives me very little shame to ask for any and every bit of help to ensure that my misery is worth every penny for a terrific organization.

My goal right now is $500. It's pretty easy to access the site, pledge money safely and securely, and charitable donations are tax deductible. I know the good hearts of the gamers of The Coli could really help me make a BIG SPLASH, and I'll even pledge to put up some embarrassing pictures if we reach my goal.

I'm so close to $200, with about 3 more weeks to go. I know you can help me make it!

Help the nikka or bounce.
If he had the 5 he wouldn't be asking the brehs.
Exactly. I see it like this:

I can put up 20, comfortably. I'm sure there are 24 other like-minded Coli brehs who would see my posts and together, having worked together to raise 500 bones, have helped pay for a couple seasons of sports for a couple of students.

The kids win, their families win, Special Olympics Kentucky wins, The Coli wins, donors win, and I win. We all get to come together to help create fantastic events.

While I can't disclose too many details for obvious reasons, I can reveal basic truths about what I do in my line of work - I get to see young men and women who get genuinely excited about upcoming events and their leagues, families that get to share their excitement for their loved one, and communities that reach back to folks with disabilities in an awesome and positive way. A couple of students recently got to go skiing and they clearly had a blast just telling us about it. It was a SO KY event.

I am a guy who, for years, posted deals to my Coli brehs. I have never asked for money from anybody on here, until now, because this is a cause that I have my heart into very much. I couldn't be more convinced that freezing my ass off, and putting my ass out there, is worthy of this cause that has my conviction.

5, 10 bucks, telling folks who may donate...whatever the contribution, I'll appreciate any and all help in getting towards my goal of 500 dollars. Show me some love like I'm Bernie Mac.
