Control arms themselves don't have a problem unless you hit something. It could be the control arm bushings which sometimes can have new ones pressed in. You still have to remove the control arm to fit the bushing anyways, so that's about an hour labor for each side.

The other option of buying the new arm with the bushings already pressed is on the table.
