Yeah I can somewhat understand this. Lupe is honestly one of the best lyricist and most creative rappers OAT. But I think its a mix of his flow, voice, and delivery over an intresting choice of beats that is his bioggest turn off to me. For example, some of his song ideas and creativity is better then most rappers, but I prefer alot of rappers over him sonically. Which really pisses me off since 99% of the time I get mad when people say shyt like "He may be more lyrical but he doesn't make music as great as X"... But Lupe's pen game and creativity is seriously nice:
