Not at all.

I don't support the c00n cap dance for those sellouts.

I still feel like this when hear them on radio
Like the last 2 years, i started hearing kendrick all over it (I live in Atlanta so they really stick to a certain sound for rap music)
Then a few weeks ago I heard Dave east on Sirius xm radio for the first time that i can remember, havoc gave him a spin on the infamous hour which is a great new show. was so happy.

I don't really care if they go mainstream. The new fairweather/bandwagon type fans are often trash :hubie:

OP’s post just seems like a contradiction to me. If you didn’t follow cashmoney before the universal deal, why the hell would you be so excited?

when is the last time you saw every artist on a top selling album get national spotlight immediately after the main artist?

Cash Money broke 8 artists in 1 summer

Juvenile - solo
BG - solo
Turk - anticipated solo
Lil Wayne - solo

Hot Boys as a group

Big Tymers as a group

Birdman - solo
Mannie Fresh - anticipated solo

I counted them individually because its rare when artists go solo and still go platinum

The title of this thread is nothing better than seeing your fav artist going mainstream, which implies you followed an artist journey prior to being mainstream. Basically their underground stage.

For example, BG released albums like Chopper City, All on u vol. 1, and Vol.2. Juvi released Soulja Rags. The Hot Boyz had get it how you live. Therefore, it was good to see him get mainstream success based on the work they put in.

What you’re basically saying is you heard them on 400 degreez, a mainstream album. They were no longer underground when you were exposed to them, which is why I find your choice weird but we’ll agree to disagree.

That's how I felt seeing Lil Flip, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Mike Jones and Chamillionaire blow up

but i didn't like any of their music by that point :francis:

Chamillionaire was my favorite rapper all through high school but by the time he got the mainstream look, he completely overhauled his style. I was so disappointed in his album

I was happy for them but i wish the world got to see them in their actual prime and as a unit. They started beefing with each other and it was weird as shyt to me.
