I Rewatched The 2016 Royal Rumble Match

My friend and I watched the 2016 Royal Rumble. Here are some of my random thoughts and observations. It's crazy how much has changed in just 4 years. The landscape of wrestling is totally different.

- AJ Styles made his WWE debut during this match
- Roman Reigns defended the WWE Championship during this match
- The League Of Nations and The Social Outkasts were stables
- 6 entrants in this Rumble match are now in AEW. Chris Jericho, Stardust, Golddust, Dean Ambrose, Neville, and Jack Swagger.
- The Wyatt Family was still in existance. Braun Strowman was apart of The Wyatt Family. Looks totally different.
- Brock Lesnar was in this Royal Rumble
- The Miz entering and going straight to commentary was hilarious
- The Wyatt Family eliminating Lesnar after being eliminated is wack. I hate when eliminated dudes come back in and eliminate someone still in the match
- Of course Triple H had to enter the Rumble at 30 just so he could win the WWE Championship
- The crowd hated Reigns so much they were cheering for Triple H
- Crowd wanted Ambrose to win that much so badly when it was down to he and Triple H
- Ryback was in this Royal Rumble but fukk Ryback he sucks

When was the last time a stable was put together for the 100% sole purpose of putting over somebody? That felt like some Hulk Hogan/Dungeon Of Doom stuff

Royal Rumble is such a “wrestling” type of event (I know that sounds stupid )

when you watch it live you get so involved and it seems so “serious” (being hyped or let down by the next entrant and eliminations etc.)

but then when you watch it years later it’s just filled with such senseless fukkery and it just makes you

Adam Rose and Alberto Del Rio were still with WWE in January 2016.

What I remember about that show isnt that match...that's when the crowd on the main roster started chanting hard for Becky and that's when Sasha kind went OFFICIAL face after the match.

I don't know why bro, but I can't bring myself to watch any Royal Rumble past 2012. I'm on YT right now watching the one from 2004 all the way up to 2011.

The Brock/Wyatt thing was so dumb. Brock handles them all, gets tossed anyway, then just leaves while looking like instead of rightly getting revenge and lighting them up. Made no sense to his character

They brought the Spirit Squad over from OVW, just to job to DX

just recently watched the 1992 edition
my first time watching wrestling in years. was very enjoyable.

Same with me past 2007 but I watch them initially. Just never sit around playing any on replay though or desiring to watch
