lol it was a great year....a summer 2002 appreciation thread has been made by me more then one since I've been posting on the internet...theres nothing like the music you grew up, or were a child too..I was like 16, just coming up as a teenager in high school, parties, drinking, smoking with your boys, hitting the beach...just was a real memorable summer, the last one like it, for me.

'02 was a great year.

Graduated from H.S., turned 18, my love for hip hop grew stronger.

The Eminem Show- The last time all the unimaginable hype surrounding an album actually was valid.

Yes, the throwback jersey era. :ohlawd: You were the man if you had an authentic Mitchell and Ness throwback with the matching New Era pinwheel fitted with some fresh Nikes or J's to go with it. :obama: Nothing mo' fly than a $275 throwback shirt with a team in the summertime. Sh!t, I still wear M&N throwbacks to pay homage to that era. Got the SF Giants Battle of the Bay one to pay proper respects to my childhood and my hometown. :youngsabo:

To the OP, AZ Aziatic was hella better than both the Lost Tapes and God's Son. The original Sosa don't get enough credit because he wasn't the one to battle Jay in 2001. :troll:

On another note, even music on the radio back in the summer of 02' was hella dope. Ja Rule was coming with the summer jams even though some of them were a lil corny.

Little mini appreciation:

Styles 'Gangster And A Gentlemen'
AZ 'Aziatic'

songs: Nelly 'Hot In Here' & 'Dilemma' (my favorite)

Ja had 'Down 4 U', which ran the radio that summer...
