i live in Seattle and I can absolutely believe it. the league at the time was still all about the big man with dwight at his peak and Greg was can't miss. shame what injuries did to so many young promising talents

funny as hell what you said because Oden wasnt that long ago and now the league has changed so much that guys like Val and Whiteside are damn near worthless in the OFFS.

also...although KD's talent was undeniable....it was a serious question about his ceiling, mainly because of how his body was when he came out of college. many just didnt think he could hold up to the rigors of an NBA season. its not unlikely because Porzingas had the same questions and is not out of the woods yet.

Dudes forget how good Oden was. If Portland was anywhere near as good as Philly was with Embiid medically, we would be looking at Portland differently right now. @Serious

real talk though...I always said I never trust guys with big upper bodies and small legs. guys so focused on building upper body strength. T-Mac started having all those injuries too once his upper body grew mass and lower body stayed the same.

Oden woulda been a monster. He outplayed a front court of Brewer, Noah, and Horford in that title game.

A core of him, Roy, and LMA would’ve crazy :wow:

the thing about the league today and young cores is....its almost impossible to keep them together unless they win a title before anyone hits free agency.

the Warriors are exception to the rule because of Steph being underpaid. Portland wouldve been broken up at the first sign of shortcomings. OKC had a better core than GSW remember?
