if you were around during that time you already know how big the song was. easily one of the biggest hits of that year.

i remember i hadn't even heard it and my boy was like :myman:"that new usher song with ludacris is crazy"

then finally i heard it...

:francis: i didn't get it.

:francis:i still don't get it.

how is that not one of the corniest beats of all time?

how is that not one of the corniest HOOKS of all time?

usher adds NOTHING to this song.

"YEAH!" :blessed:

"YEAH!" :gladbron:

:stopitslime::camby:

i would say it's probably one of the most overrated hits of all time.

You had to be in ATL to FULLY grasp the impact of that song...

1). Lil John was on TOP of the world.

2). The hype for Confessions was really through the roof and Usher hadn't really done a song like Yeah before. It was really something fresh for him as an artist

3). Ludacris was POPPIN at this point. Dude is honestly one of the most underrated "feature" MC's of all time. If you had a "featuring Ludacris" tag on your song it was almost guaranteed he was going to eat you on your own shyt.

I know this already, I was in college. I remember the era well. I saw it as usher hopping on the lil jon bandwagon. Ludacris was everywhere

Just think the beat is lazy and wack as fukk. That's not to say there weren't lil Jon beats from that era that were crazy.
