Wayne dropped a huge hit [Right Above It]with autotune right after Hov dropped DOA.

Wayne dropped mixtape using auto-tune and everyone was mad lol

No Ceilings had auto-tune Dedication 3 had Auto-Tune rebirth had Auto-Tune

The Young Money album had Auto-Tune.

808s & heartbreak had Auto-Tune

The Carter 3 had plenty of Auto-Tune and those songs were still popping in 2009

Drake was using auto-tune and a new Lil Wayne song with leaking every day with auto-tune and future was coming up and he dropped two of his first mixtape witch use autotune

I don't think you guys were paying attention so anything but the old flabby and sick artist so you don't know any better honestly

:camby: call someone flabby and sick while having poor memory and comprehension skills:

Carter 3 and 808's both dropped in 2008.

"Right Above It" was a whole year after "DOA"

And you're in here only listing Wayne and mostly mixtape tracks. Do you know how dominant autotune was from 2006-2008. It was everywhere. In 2009, nit so much.

Bullshyt. Autotune ain't die and actually got bigger after Jay made D.O.A.

that's the funniest part of the shyt.

and Ye already exposed him saying he tried to make an autotune album and the shyt was ass, hence him doing the DOA shyt. :dead:

So Cal
Made death of autotune and had autotune on his very next autotune on his very next album. :mjlol: clown.

If we being real, he never had pull like that. Hopped on throwbacks at the right time when they were already taking off.

Then acting like he ended them when they were going out of style. I'll give him a little credit for button ups, but nikkas was wearing 2x tall white tees way more than them shyts.

Autotune was championed by people that have the least raw talent on their natural vocals. :sas1:
the thing is, t pain can actually sing.

But once these non-singers like wayne and kanye started to use it, every local joker thought that they can do the same :unimpressed:

And eventually those local jokers became famous and here we are.....

Yea as a person that was also in college around this time, I don’t see how people apparently missed all of this. The rise of autotune was damn near immediate after this. You can even look at the year end list of the Billboard in 2010, autotune is all over it. Racks on Racks was the year after. The only thing D.O.A. did was kill off Ron Browz’ solo career and keep vets from using it (Fat Joe, GFK, and 50). Have any of them even used autotune since then? I remember seeing a GFK interview not too long after D.O.A. and he was basically looking like

Just because something dropped in 2008 doesn't mean the singles didn't carry over into 2009. Songs typically break in 8-12 weeks.

You're an idiot. Autotune never went anywhere.

DOA didn't drop and magically take off the same day.

Kesha and other pop stars were using autotune heavy too.

Breh, look at his post. A lot of what he listed was either a year before or a whole year after "D.O.A.". Breh has Carter 3 listed and it dropped in 2008. And some of what he listed that came after "D.O.A." wasn't even that huge.

Right. This dudes must live in a different world.

Kesha was huge back then and she used autotune. Chris Brown started using it and many more.
