Honestly in terms of it's production I don't see people's big problem with it. Yes, I know in 2015 people want to see the Wu release an album of head smacking grimey music but realistically RZA isn't at that place anymore, but if you take it as it is and accept that you're not getting another 36 Chambers then musically I find it very enjoyable, especailly the throw back to 60s/70s southern soul and there's lots of quality live musicanship and arrangements. Plus there are still some classic grimey Wu joints on there like Necklace and Pioneer....

There's a couple of weak tracks but musically I think it's a good album.

The problem as was the case on 8 Diagrams are some of the half assed verses and lack of chemistry from the Wu. There's not many verses that stand out, and it feels like they're all going through the motions. On top of that the hooks are pretty weak for the most part.

But all in all I think it's a solid record and they certainly didn't embarass themselves like some vets have.

havent listened to it in a while but I spun this album many times. I personally enjoyed it. The infighting and guys downplaying the album does nothing but hurt the outlook on the album as well.

I thought it was dope from jump :yeshrug:

That energy thing is true but this has been true since ODB started phasing out of the group, which was already evident on FOREVER to be honest.

I just listened to this album again after a few months also and this is how i feel

- the production is very bland. Raekwon had a valid point when he said rza was going for a more "humble " sound which doesnt fit the wu sound.

- alot of the verses lacked energy like a few of them was just recording to be on the track.im not sure if they were all recorded with each member in person but it sounds like alot of verses were mailed over.

- method man/ INS shined the most on the album.(gza was lyrically next level as usual but lacked energy)

- Not enough rae AND ghost

- felt, crushed egos, keep watch, pioneer the frontier, necklace, ron oneal all great songs... Miracle is terrible.

Overall 6/10

The Beauty and the Beast shyt in Miracles still blows my mind.

Wtf was RZA thinking :dahell:

And then it turns into an Eminem single during Ghost's verse.

But despite all that has one of the most gutter 4th Disciple beats this side of Killarmy's debut album.

An absolute clusterfukk of a song. But I kinda love it :pachaha:

Have no idea what they were thinking when they recorded Miracle.

ABT was all over the place

if they ever decide to drop an album again they need to lock themselves up in the Shaolin temple for 5-6 months to record and come out with a focused effort
