I swear one of the most annoying things is when apps/websites make you use FB to use their serivces

Why do they do this? Like you will have a 3rd party app that tells you to use another 3rd party app (facebook) to sign up. I can understand if its just an option to make it easier for some people, but why make it mandatory?
Some of us don't have social media, and yeah I know I can just make a fake FB for these situations but I don't think people should have to.

It’s so they can better track and collect your ‘personal’ data, which they sell to mainly advertising agencies, data aggregation companies, and intelligence firms.
