Nah it was them KC nikkas. Dre used to do shady shyt. I heard he had reputation of getting paid for a whole set upfront, then would go on stage do 2 songs then bounce on nikkas. Thats what I heard the shooting was about.

Dre was probably one of the shadiest people to ever bless the mic. If it wasn't a disgruntled promoter, it was somebody else he either robbed or pulled some other shady stunt on.
