If they're dress shirts, you're better off not drying them and just hanging them up to air dry.

But that doesn't work with all shirts.

I'm thinking about buying a hand held steamer (I think they sell them for like $30) for when I'm in a pinch.
I always tell myself I'll stop by the dry cleaners to drop things off but I rarely do.
