Heard his version of This Christmas for the first time yesterday and was impressed:

He's always been an amazing singer to me but i dont think he gets enough recognition. Matter fact, to me he has one of the greatest SOUNDING voices ive ever heard. Quite possibly the most distinct ever. I love it.

He killed this hook:wow:

So u think its more about the sound of his voice than him being a "technically" good singer?

Your question is legitimately weird. The sound of his voice and his ability to sing (aka his technique) go hand in hand.

So I was basically saying he's famous because he's a good singer/has a great voice.

This isn't some Fetty Wap case where the harmonization sounds good but you know deep down you wouldn't want to hear Fetty pulling off the national anthem.

I hardly know anyone who can mimic the tune of "Crazy" like CeeLo.

Ceelo has a very interesting voice... but I think when they came out with Gnarls Barkley they were on to something.

This is my favorite version of Going On by Gnarls Barkley. His voice is very soulful and haunting compared to the album version.

Lol, you confused me. He started out with Goodie Mob singing so i was confused as to what else he would be famous for.
