A psa of some kind is long overdo though, not that it would be MUCH help. But if it maybe deterred one person, avoiding one tragedy is better than avoiding none, and certainly better than antagonizing folks who already feel they have nothing left to lose.

Once an individual reaches a the point where they no longer want to be in the world and they want to take people with them there is no neogotiating with them. They’ve convinced themselves this is the final decision they want to make. Atleast them taking themselves out first would reduce the additional life being lost who have no idea that this person is dealing with inner conflict instead of running away from bullets or witnessing they loved ones or themselves taking part in this individuals self destruction.
