You can always tell when a platform is gonna fail, when all the people who leave it, go to the same alternative.
And while i did hear plenty of people claiming they were leaving twitter, i didn't hear any consensus about where they were going to post from instead.
You not just gonna cancel twitter you gotta render it obsolete. that didn't happen. People would still be using myspace if they didn't have facebook.
