Mos crushed the building that year, as well as the stereotype that "underground" nikkas couldn't properly write songs. :wow:

that was the illest thing about Mos. Most rappers who are that skilled lyrically can't make great music. and most rappers who make great music aren't that great lyrically.

Mos was elite in both skillsets. Only other rapper I could think of who has that great of a balance is 3 Stacks

Black on Both Sides is the last true ny classic of the 90s. I even had that shyt on cassette. Nothing was touching that tape back then. Nas was in his dark place. Wu Tang was falling off. Big was dead. Jay was popular but kinda corny right then. Mos was the best.
